I don't know what I am looking for, what that shadow looks like ?
I know most of the people on earth might not know what they want. People spend their entire life earning for bread, building a roof on them and their family, and looking for all the fancy stuff. This is the motive of every person since they wake up and by the time they fall asleep. Even their sub conscious mind brings them the dreams of what they want. People who have money, want more money because their ambitions do not fall in the range of what they have. They work hard to get it so they can achieve what they are planning for, may be a bigger house, bigger car, vacations on the beach.
Do they stop here ? By the time they get all of this, they are stuck in the other tantrums, for e.g. their social status doesn't allow them to stop, they have to maintain it etc. They start comparing what they have with what they do not have and are never content. They are as dissatisfied and troubled as someone who doesn't has anything, who struggle every time to fill his and his family empty stomach.
This is an endless loop and someone who once gets into this has very least probability to get out of it. what are the chances, how much, what way they can relieve themselves. I do not have the answer, no one has, this is something everyone has to find themselves.
Sometime back, I got into a conversation with one of my colleague and he said that there are 3 kinds of people in this world.
First, who are selfless and are pure souls. They sacrifice every materialistic things they have. Even their time for themselves and their families. They work for the betterment of the other people, help them build a better life. Their life and happiness is meant for other's. they live and die for others.
Second set of people are like us, who live in this realistic world, work hard, are ambitious and earn money for the betterment of ourselves and our family. they are harmless.
Third set of people are those who are ill-ambitious, who can hurt others to move ahead in their life. These people do not walk the ladder of success build on the ridge by them but they use the path of other's failure to lead them on the way of success. They are mean and can use anyone for their profit.
So true he is. I know after reading the above 3 categories, you might be thinking which category you belong to. It's good that you are thinking, most of us crib about not having time to do things that we want. It becomes more of an excuse. I believe that if you are passionate about doing something, it will come back to you even after you do not want this anymore because this is your passion and you two are connected by untearable threads.
We have only one life, some of you may argue that we will be born again in the cycle and we will do things that we couldn't achieve in this life. I know only about this life, neither about the life before I was born nor about the life after I die.
I remember once I was sitting in the cafeteria with couple of my colleagues and one of them said they we always compare ourselves with the people who are more rich and successful, we never feel gratitude that we are doing better than many of us. She is absolutely right, we should think how we can differentiate our self from others not in terms of monetary status and feel gratitude towards what you have.
After seeing her sympathy towards the poor rickshaw drivers and the underprivileged kids, I simply said to her, it is easy to have this kind of conversation over the cup of tea sitting in a A/C room because you are comfortable in your zone, but have you ever contributed a little to make someone's life better in some way?
Think and realize which set of people you belong to out of these three ? Do you think the category you belong to is the right place for you or you can do better ? !!!
